Caramel Pumpkin Pie Milkshake
This post will forever be known as the time I blended a hunk of pie with ice cream. One slice of pumpkin pie, several scoops of vanilla ice cream, buttery caramel sauce, and a dollop of whipped cream make up this Caramel Pumpkin Pie Milkshake. It’s every shake lover’s dream come true.
I have a ridiculous obsession with ice cream. It doesn’t matter how low the temperatures drop outside, it will never be too cold for ice cream. I’m always searching for unique flavors to add to my ice cream collection I keep stocked in the freezer at all times. My current situation consists of buttery salty caramel and cappuccino crunch. There was a container of chocolate coconut almond, but I shoveled the last little bit into my face the other night. Poof, gone!
The one flavor I always have handy is vanilla bean. Some people consider vanilla to be too plain, but I like to think of it as a blank canvas to be used for creating endless frozen dessert possibilities, like this Strawberry Shortcake Ice Cream Pie or this Peach Pie Milkshake.
Today I’m partnering with Safeway to help fight hunger in their Hunger Is campaign. If you want to help, you can donate at the register during checkout or you can purchase products from participating brands that you already love and use in the kitchen, such as Con Agra (Marie Calender’s Healthy Choice, Bertolli’s, and PF Changs), Coke, Unilever (Breyers), Kellogg’s, and Campbell’s. Every item purchased during the month of September (hurry!) helps connect hungry kids to healthy food.
Since one in five children live without consistent access to an adequate source of food, Albertsons Safeway and I would like to help the initiative to improve health outcomes for hungry children and their families.
For this recipe, I purchased a container of Breyers French Vanilla (with real vanilla beans) ice cream to help support such a wonderful cause, because no child should ever have to suffer from hunger pains.
This caramel pumpkin pie milkshake is the real deal. It tastes like pie in liquid form with a hint of buttery sugar from the caramel sauce I added to the shake and swirled around the glass.
Any chance you get to add a slice of pie to the blender with a few massive scoops of ice cream is a good day.
Caramel Pumpkin Pie Milkshake
One slice of pumpkin pie, several scoops of vanilla ice cream, buttery caramel sauce, and a dollop of whipped cream get added to the blender to create one heck of a delicious fall milkshake.
Ingredients:
- 4 scoops vanilla ice cream
- 1 small slice pumpkin pie
- 1/4 to 1/3 cup milk
- 1/8 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
- 2 tablespoons caramel, plus extra for swirling
- whipped cream for topping
Directions:
- Add ice cream, pumpkin pie, milk, pumpkin pie spice, and caramel to the blender; pulse until smooth.
- Swirl a drizzle of caramel around the inside of a large glass. Pour the milkshake mixture to the glass and top with a dollop of whipped cream. Drizzle extra caramel over the whipped cream, if desired. Serve immediately.

You actually blended a hunk of pumpkin pie. This is why I love you. Now if you could just somehow magic that over to me, that’d be great.
Oh, this sounds amazing. Love the combo here, a great Fall dessert!

I love checking out new flavors of ice cream too. Ice cream has no season. This milkshake is quite the indulgent treat.
Wow! So decadent! I agree that it’s never to cold for ice cream :)
That looks divine!
I love ice cream no matter what time of year — even if it’s 40 below in February! This milkshake looks so decadent and I love the caramel and whipped cream on top!
