Malted Milk Funfetti Blondies
Thick, gooey blondies with a kiss of malted milk powder, white chocolate chips, and colorful jimmies.
I don’t care how old you are, you’re never too old for sprinkles. These malted milk funfetti blondies are not only addictive, but they’re fun to eat.
I happened to have an over-sized tub of malted milk powder in the pantry that hadn’t been shown any attention or love in a very long time. I would spin the cabinet and see it whizz by at lightening speed, but never bothered to reach for the container. I think I originally had some genius idea to bake something but quickly forgot what that something was 2 minutes after I shoved the tub in the cabinet.
Either that or I got sidetracked with my very long list of “Crap I Have to Bake.”
I have a very short attention span. I’m like the dog in Up.
Whilst whipping up a batch of blondies, I had this bonkers delicious idea to add malted milk powder to the batter. Then, for good measure, I added rainbow jimmies and white chocolate chips.
The jar finally felt the love. I got wicked tasty blondies out of the deal. And, I’m one step closer to using up the malted milk powder before it expires. Everybody wins!
One bite, and I knew I made the right decision by sneaking in some of the toasty, caramelized malted milk powder into the blondie batter. I ate half the pan myself before deciding to share the blondie love.
These quickly became a favorite amongst family and friends. Then the blondie requests started flooding in. All of a sudden, people were offering green in exchange for pans of malted milk funfetti blondies.
Like I said, everybody wins.
The batter comes together with in one bowl with ease. Since the butter gets melted, there’s no need to wait for the butter to come to room-temperature. You can make and bake a pan of these blondies in under 35 minutes. Which means you could potentially be shoving a sweet, gooey bar in your face in under 40 minutes.
It’s instant gratification at its best.
The sprinkles add a touch of fun and the white chocolate chips add creamy vanilla bursts in every bite.
What’s not to love?
One bite, and you’ll be hooked too.
Malted Milk Funfetti Blondies
Sweet, gooey blondies made with malted milk powder, white chocolate chips, and rainbow sprinkles. These blondies come together in one bowl in under 5 minutes.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled
1 cup light brown sugar
1 egg
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 and 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 cup malted milk powder
1/2 cup white chocolate chips
1/4 cup rainbow jimmies
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line a 8-by-8-inch square pan with parchment. Lightly spray parchment with non-stick baking spray.
In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter and brown sugar until combined. Whisk in egg and vanilla extract until thoroughly combined.
Stir in flour, baking powder, salt, and malted milk powder until just combined. Fold in white chocolate chips and sprinkles. The mixture will be very thick.
Transfer the mixture to your prepared pan. Evenly spread the mixture into the pan, starting in the center and pushing the thick dough out to the edges. Bake for 23-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out mostly clean (a few wet crumbs are recommended).
Allow the blondies to cool in the pan completely. Transfer to a cutting board and cut into slices.

Well heck, I don’t have a jar of malted milk, but I’m tempted to buy one so that I feel obligated to give it some love….as in, make every single malted milk funfetti blondie EVA!
UGH these do look bonkers delicious, and I 200% think you’re never too old for sprinkles. I have yet to make blondies, so my first go may as well be the fully-loaded swanky kind! :D
Show that jar some love :) I agree, sprinkles are forever.
My husband is always asking me to bake with malted milk powder. I’ll have to make these for him soon!

Sprinkles are a necessary dietary requirement. That’s just science. These blondies sound amazing. I’d offer you the green to (if by the green, you mean dinosaur sprinkles, because I totally have those.)
Ohmygosh these are so cute Jennie! The malted milk twist sounds so fun and delicious. I like to think that I only pull out my inner three year old for sprinkles … but then I realize it is for anything that involves sugar sooo yeah ;)
Oh these look sooo good, I really really want one right now. Yum!
How is it I’ve never even heard of malted milk powder?? Is it available in Canada? Where would I find this delicious sounding product? :)
I LOVE anything malted milk flavored!!! These sound amazing…not to mention they’re adorable :)
okay, sooooo…i can’t make these until i have somewhere to unload them, like a party or whatnot. Because i would be in immediate danger of gaining 10 lbs due to “lack of self control around the funfetti blondies.” it’s a disease.
I just made these funfetti blondies for an event and OH MY GOSH THEY ARE BRILLIANT! Ended up cutting them into tiny bite size pieces just to get out enough so I can have extras all to myself !
Hi Brianna! Thank you so much for stopping by and taking the time to leave a comment. I love hearing from my readers. I’m so happy to hear that you loved the blondies. They’re one of my most requested desserts at a local bakery I deliver to. Thanks again!
