Guest Post: Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie
A thick, frothy smoothie that combines the best two flavors in all the world: peanut butter and banana.
Well, hello, Friday. I’m so happy to see you. One more work day before a much needed relaxing weekend.
Today I’m guest posting for my dear friend Stefanie of Sarcastic Cooking. Stefanie was just blessed with the cutest little munchkin. So, while Stefanie gets acclimated to motherhood, I’ll be lending a helping hand over in her neck of the woods.
I decided that a peanut butter banana smoothie was the best option. It’s my very favorite smoothie, and it always drives the crowd wild over here, so I thought I’d be nice and share the recipe.
This thick, creamy smoothie is a combination of frozen bananas, peanut butter, oats, honey, vanilla, almond milk, and Greek yogurt. Most of these ingredients are probably readily available in your pantry and fridge. If you don’t have almond milk, you can replace it with regular milk or vanilla soy milk. Everything gets dumped in the bowl of a blender and whirred until smooth. It’s that simple.
I’m pretty much obsessed with this smoothie. So obsessed, that I make it happen almost daily. I believe that there is no better combination than peanut butter and banana; unless, of course, it involves peanut butter and chocolate. Both options are pretty much equal. Combine all three, and you have yourself a trifecta of flavors.

Love the food styling in this – those straws rock. I do almond butter in my smoothies, but still delicious!
