Slice of Life Saturday’s ~ Hot, Hot, Hot!
Saturday, I thought you would never get here, but thank goodness you did.
It’s been a long week, which I’m sure has something to do with the fact that it has been absolutely gorgeous outside. When you’re at work and it’s a nice out, the day seems to move at a snail’s pace. All you can do is sit there and stare out the window (if you’re lucky enough to have one. I don’t) at the beautiful day passing you by. How frustrating!
I don’t know how it’s been in your neck of the woods, but the weather has been really crazy in Baltimore. One second it’s smoldering hot, and the next it’s cold and pouring rain out. I think Mother Nature has lost her marbles…or just given up on us completely. Who knows! This weekend is supposed to be mild and sunny, so I plan on doing some outdoor activities. I’m thinking a long bike ride is in my future. Maybe some gardening. Oh, better yet, some porch sittin’ while sipping on a cocktail. Yeah, that last one sounds like a winner!
I hate to say this, but I don’t have too much to report this week. It’s been quite boring around these parts.

This isn’t exciting news, but I finally got a pedicure. Yay, now I can safely wear sandals outside without feeling self conscious about my tootsies. The spa pedicure I received from About Faces Canton was the best pedicure I’ve ever had. Angel is a rockstar! She spent an hour pampering my feet–it felt so good!

Here’s what I pinned this week:
Brown Butter, Peanut Butter, and Sea Salt Chocolate Chip Cookies by Total Noms
Roasted Red Bell Pepper Cheese Spread by MJ’s Kitchen
Asian-Inspired Drumsticks by Texanerin
Funfetti Cheesecake Cookie Cups by Sally’s Baking Addiction
Tropical Crunch Cake by Food Babbles
Double Chocolate Cake w/ Cherry Cheesecake Swirl by Hungry Couple
What I’m craving:
Coconut Magic Brownie Bars by The Healthy Foodie
Lemon Goat Cheese Tea Cookies by Baker Bettie
Chai Coconut Ice Cream by Cookie & Kate
Brown Butter Cinnamon Coconut Cookies by The Cooking Actress
Look what I made:
Restaurant Style Salsa by The Comfort of Cooking- This is some seriously good salsa. I’ve been eating it all week; I can’t get enough of it. The salsa is semi-chunky, slightly smoky, and has a nice little kick. It’s delicious!

I wish the weather was nice here. It’s still terrible here and it’s rather depressing :( It’s nice of you to go to the baseball game. At least it looks like it was a pretty day!
